As a Wii owner, I have to be honest, the classic controller is hit or miss with certain Virtual Console titles. Sometimes the set-up is deadon, while others (i.e. N64 titles) leave you wanting to same grip you had when you first picked up a N64 controller. No worries though as Nintendo has announced the North American release of the Classic Controller Pro, and it's black too.
Japanese gamers have had the fortunate time with this controller for awhile, so it makes sense for Nintendo to finally pony up and release a better version of their original classic controller release. The Classic Controller Pro is basically the same design but with grips on the bottom, a set of extra shoulder buttons on the back and a cord that comes out of the top instead of the bottom. (Yes, the Dreamcast controller had this but we forgive Sega from time-to-time).
But, that's not all folks. The Classic Controller Pro will be bundled with the release of Monster Hunter Tri for a price of $59.99, so you'll be able to test out this bad boy when the Japanese mega-hit is shipped. The controller will also be sold separately for a price of $19.99. No firm release date has been confirmed, but Gameshoe will announce it when we hear more.
