(Posted by: Harrison Milfeld) As the release of Sonic 4: Episode One approaches, Sega has decided to bring more to Sonic's possible revival with Sonic Colors for the Wii and DS. In the Sonic Colors trailer, which you can see here, we see our favorite blue hedgehog speeding through a theme-park like area. As Sonic speeds through the colorful worlds, he attempts to rescue these whimsical alien Whips from the clucthes of Dr. Eggman. Eggman's plan is to harness the energy of these creatures as he controls them in his amusement park orbiter. When will Eggman's plan to capture cutesy creatures end?
According to the press release, Sonic will be able to use these alien's color energy to create new paths through each of the game's levels. For instance, yellow energy will let Sonic drill through the ground, whereas cyan turns Sonic into a laser (yes, Sonic shooting lasers at long last). The Wii version will be a combination of 2D and 3D gameplay, while the DS version will tackle the handheld's dual screen capabilities. The game is scheduled to ship by the end of 2010 according to Sega. Check out the trailer screenshots at the bottom as well. This week the guys skype it in and end up with even better sound quality than usual. We talk about super Mario galaxy 2, Pokemon blue, Sony’s struggles with class action lawsuits, steam on mac, pirates plundarrr and much much more! The option was removed via an update on April 1st. Although Sony claims the update was optional, but consumers were forced to either update or be locked out of many other features such PSN connectivity. The lawsuit argues that the company made PS3 owners choose between features that were originally advertised and included together. The suit seeks restitution, including a sum equal to the cost of the PS3 console, injunction relief, and other damages. It includes anyone who purchased any non-Slim model of the PS3 between November 17, 2006 through March 27, 2010 who did not sell their console before March 27, 2010. A complete PDF of the suit can be found here. (Posted by: Kyle Boedeker) According to marketing analysts OTX, a lot of Xbox 360 owners are excited about Project Natal. In fact, they say the majority of them are. According to their study, more than half of people asked said that they were indeed excited about Microsoft's next big thing. The study surveyed 1,500 people (weighted toward the 14 to 34 year old crowd) and 56% said they were planning on purchasing Project Natal. The study also showed that the majority of them were most excited about the first person shooter genre with fitness ironically not even making the list. According to an Associated Press report, Reach will be released in North America and Europe on September 14. Also, since it's release on May 5, the Reach beta has been played by more than 2 million gamers worldwide. As we wait for Reach's pending release, questions still loom over what gamers found to be troubling in the multiplayer beta. Will we see some corrections come E3 2010? We'll soon find out. Until then, mark you calendars, gamers.

Well, now you can listen to the soundtrack for Super Mario Galaxy 2 on Youtube, uploaded by master composer Mahito Yokota himself. That’s right, all the tracks are on a single playlist just waiting for you to go listen to them. Be warned however, as there may be some small spoilers inherent in the track names. Other then that, they make great background music for all sorts of activities, such as cooking, cleaning or updating a world famous and immensely popular gaming website. Yes, the gaming giant has signed a four year agreement to include CHL teams in the franchise, so we’ll be seeing minor league players until NHL 14 at least. This is good news for hockey fans that are also gamers, as now we will get to familiarize ourselves with minor league players. Who knows, might make the draft more interesting. And it’ll be good for the minor league players themselves, as they have the potential for a larger built in fanbase. Should be fun. We may not like how George Lucas tinkers with his films but at least there's a vast universe of books, games and a future live action tv show(s) to expand the canon. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back's theatrical release, Lucas Arts will be putting out Star Wars avatar gear on Xbox Live Arcade. The gear includes, lightsabers, blasters, mini Tauntauns and Yoda hats. In addition, lowly bounty hunter Bossk will be transformed into gear for those willing to pay. Sadly, no love for another underrated Star Wars bounty hunter, IG-88. *sigh*
The Star Wars avatar gear will be available on Thursday May 20. Do what must be done, young sith lords. |
