Starting today, satellite provider DirecTV will no longer carry the popular video game television network (and source for constant re-runs of COPS and rejected reality shows) G4, because of the two sides' disagreement for a long-term extension. According to a G4 press release, the video game TV network stated that they offered the same basic deal that they've had with DirecTV for the past three years. DirecTV initially rejected this offer, which has led to protest from fans of the network and gamers alike. G4 has ultimately offered to help fans of the network who currently subscribe to DirecTV by offering them a contact number at 1-888-9-WeAreG4 to voice their dismay.
At the moment, there appears to be no word on whether or not the two sides will try to reconcile and agree to a new deal.
