Yes, that is a mech about to stomp on some poor unsuspecting Locust. Huge mechs in your control plus Gears of War certainly equals good times to be had by all. The latest batch of screenshots released by Epic aren't pre-rendered like the last few, so we're finally able to see what new gameplay changes are offered in this anticipated threequel. Although, most are in-engine screenshots, Microsoft and Epic were able to show off some shots of Marcus Fenix controlling a huge turret and burning Locust scum to a crisp. That's what we like to see, folks. Gears of War 3 is currently scheduled for a spring 2011 release.
