In breaking news today, Jason West and Vince Zampella, the fired former lead creators of the Modern Warfare series, have formed a new company, Respawn Entertainment. Not only that, but EA, their former rival is supporting them. The controversy surrounding the reasoning behind Activision/Blizzard ousting the two creators still has fans up in arms, but the announcement of West and Zampella teaming with Activision's main rival is even more shocking. The forming of this new studio for EA comes a few days after Activision sued West and Zampella for misdeeds and subterfuge designed as an alleged attempt to "steal the studio."
Zampella mentions that Respawn Entertainment, "marks a fresh start" for the two. As of now, no details have surfaced about what new title the studio will be developing. The recent release states that "the company will focus on creating state-of-the-art gaming experiences for global audiences." Sounds like a ballsy move with great opportunities for success.
