Despite Square-Enix's claims of how many discs the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII will include, game retailer Gamefly may have already spilled the beans. According to the site's product description, the 360 version of FFXIII will span three discs, which means you will be required to swap a minimum of two times during gameplay.
If you thought Mass Effect 2's disc-swapping was too complex for you to comprehend (the title, strangely enough, required you 1/3 through the campaign to swap disc one with disc two, then 2/3 through, you were required to swap back to disc one), then expect your 360's disc drive to get a good workout with the latest Final Fantasy title. The 360 version will be the first Final Fantasy title since Final Fantasy IX to include multiple discs (the ninth iteration came with four discs).
Although, Square-Enix has not officially announced the amount of discs to be shipped with the 360 version, Final Fantasy XIII director Motomu Toriyama, on previous occasions, has stated that it was likely the game would include three discs.
We'll have more information once Square-Enix makes an official announcement.
