Capcom has announced the release date for their much-anticipated fighter Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. The third iteration in the Marvel vs. Capcom series will ship on February 15, 2011 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. If this were an arcade cabinet, I don't think I'd have enough quarters to keep me satisfied while playing. This fighting series by Capcom is a big deal to some.
Aside from the usual retail copy of the game, Capcom has also revealed a special edition for $69.99. The special edition (shown above in glorious fashion) will include some rather interesting goodies such as two bonus characters (Jill Valentine of the Resident Evil series and Shuma Gorath from the Marvel universe). The set also includes a steelbook case with exclusive art work, a comic/art book that serves as a prologue to the game, a one-month subscription to Marvel Digital Comics, and two playable DLC characters (mentioned above) that will be available four weeks after the launch of the game.
As of now, two new characters for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 have been announced yesterday, which are Zero and She-Hulk (trailer reveal here). We'll have more news on the various character reveals as the weeks go by, so stay tuned.
