Good news for anyone who has been itching for some fast-paced fragging. id Software today announced a date, time and place for their annual QuakeCon. For those who are oblivious to that past sentence, QuakeCon is an annual bring-your-own-computer (BYOC) event with a competitive tournament held in Dallas, Texas. The event has been in existence since 1996 and it celebrates all things Quake-related.
This year's event will run August 12 to August 15, at the Hilton Anatole Inn in Dallas, Texas. Entry to the event will also be free. For those of you who plan on attending, this might be your lucky chance to engage in a massive LAN party with id developers. There are also rumors that id Software may use this year's QuakeCon to show more of their upcoming project, Rage.
