IGN recently broke news that Nintendo has announced their newest iteration of their Wii-based game line, Wii Party. The game was announced at an investor meeting by Nintendo CEO, Satoru Iwata. From the slim details given to us, the game will of course use all the mii's on your system and pit them against each other in a Mario Party-esque mini-game style of gameplay.
Yes, this may seem to be the tried-and-true method for these Wii-style of games, but changing things up by putting this title into the Mario Party world could be intriguing, if done correctly. Now, the question is: does this mean that Nintendo is replacing their hugely successful Mario Party franchise? The details are still scarce, but as a fan of the Mario Party series, Wii Party could be another huge hit for Nintendo.
