One month ago, it was surprising to hear that Metroid: Other M, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Sin and Punishment: Star Successor would be released for the Wii within a few weeks of each other. But, we forget that Nintendo has a habit of delaying their titles in order to tweak or fix the title's mechanics. Nintendo announced today that Metroid: Other M and Sin and Punishment would be delayed. Other M will release on August 31, while Sin and Punishment will fall on June 27, which was Other M's original ship date.
Nintendo stated in an interview with IGN that Sin and Punishment was pushed back because of how close its release was to Super Mario Galaxy 2. Metroid, on the other hand, was delayed so that Team Ninja and Nintendo could makes some refinements.
"Although it's taking slightly longer than expected to complete the project, we're confident that fans will find it to be well worth the wait," said Nintendo to IGN.
