Peter Molyneux is no stranger to gamers. He created such games as the Fable series, Black and White, and Populous. The man is an industry giant. He was even granted the Order of the British Empire back in '04. Now, he is on the short list to be one of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people of the year. Yes, this most important of lists may be paying homage to one of gamings greats. While Molyneux certainly deserves to be recognized, it can be argued that he's not "mainstream" enough to grace such a list. Frankly, this is an entirely legitimate argument, and his inclusion, coupled with the stunning victory of Christopher Poole, or, as he is known on the internet, "moot", last year, may be a sign that an online poll is not the best way to conduct this sort of endeavor. All that aside, congratulations to Peter Molyneux. May you continue to wow us with your psychotically ambitious projects.
