Just a few days before Nintendo's 2011 E3 press conference, the Nikkei is reporting that the controller to the company's next console will indeed include a 6-inch touch screen. In addition to these details coming out of Japan, the controller will reportedly have a built-in camera and battery. Finally, the paper claims that the console itself will release sometime in the middle of 2012.
With E3 2011 upon us, several questions remain about the possibilities of a controller with tablet-esque functions. Will these features hinder the controller's initial price, and will it be at risk of criticism as being a gimmick?
