Well, the announcement is official. Valve will be bringing Steam to Mac, and it's bringing the whole party with it. Mac users can finally enjoy those fine Source engine games without, er, "skirting" certain "restrictions". Valve stated in a press release minutes ago that the Mac will be getting Steam sometime in April. This is one of the biggest announcements ever in Mac gaming. This, combined with the announcement of Portal 2 begs the question, what does Valve have left to announce at the GDC? Regardless, this recent revelation is reason enough to get excited about this innovative company.
