North America regions will not be the only ones to see a price increase for the popular online service. In the UK, the price of one month will jump from 4.99 GPB to 5.99 GBP. Canada's monthly subscriptions will rise a dollar to $9.99 and Mexico's rises from 499 pesos to 599 pesos.
With the price increase two months away, Microsoft will offer a special deal for U.S. customers, allowing them to lock in a year at $39.99, $20 less than the new rate. Whether or not an increase will bode well with consumers, the use of additional features such as Last.fm, Facebook, Twitter, Netflix, Video Kinect and ESPN 3 seems to be the driving point of the jump in price.
