Yes, you heard that correctly folks. According to sources speaking with Bloomberg, Microsoft is in talks to develop a television channel dedicated to Xbox Live. Now, before everyone misconceives this report, this does mean that there will be an actual television channel where the player can engage in multiplayer deathmatches on the popular online console service; in theory, it would mean the viewer would be presented with original programming (a Major Nelson talk show, perhaps?).
The company has been talking with former News Corp. President Peter Chernin about the proposed idea for weeks, so until we have a concrete announcement, 360 owners will have to just ponder at what the proposed channel will offer. A repeat of the SEGA's attempt at a television channel would not be a wise business venture. We'll have more as this develops.
